How we work
Quelmatelas.ch is neither a shop nor a lab. We do not test mattresses ourselves. We record information from the official pages of brands and institutions, state the source and date, and help you compare. If you buy through our links, we may earn a commission.
Official pages, dated
Price, trial nights, warranty, delivery, returns, old-mattress take-back: every fact is recorded from an official page of the brand or seller, and dated. Without verification, it shows as «To be confirmed».
Independent tests quoted, not reinterpreted
When an independent test exists, for example from Kassensturz, the FRC or the SIQT, we quote it with its date and link, on the model page or the brand page depending on what was measured. We do not turn it into a score of our own.
What makes it into the catalogue
A model is published only if it is sold in Switzerland and its official page is accessible. Discontinued or unverifiable models are hidden, not deleted from our records.
The quiz does not ask you about firmness
The quiz considers your situation, bed size, sleeping position, build, priority and budget. You can change your answers at any time.
What counts in the score
Position, firmness inferred from your profile, budget and main need. Customer ratings are not used to rank models. The percentage is an editorial match, not a measurement.
Sizes, prices and availability
A size recorded as unavailable excludes the model. A size’s price is shown only if it was recorded for that size; otherwise the price is the one for the size shown by default on the official page.
Money, plainly
Buttons to retailers are affiliate links. They change neither your price nor the quiz order. Details are on the Transparency page.
What the quiz does not promise
A score is not a medical diagnosis. If you are in pain, ask a health professional. We compare a selection sold in Switzerland, not the whole market.
